The McKinsey Global Institute has identified 18 emerging industries, termed “arenas of competition” which poised to significantly impact the global economy by 2040. Malaysia is strategically positioned to excel in several of these arenas, including electric vehicles (EVs), semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
To capitalise on these opportunities, Malaysia should consider consider implementing targeted measures and policies.
