ISRAELI AIR FORCE F-15I RA’AM WARPLANES: IAF SQUADRON 69
PREAMBLE
In Hezbollah-Israel we explored the multidimensional aspects of the existential Middle East and North Africa (MENA) issue, reiterating that The Resistance shall persist and there shall be a “continuation of operations” a year after the Hamas’s October 7th cross-border Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against Israel military operations,(Read: Wider MENA War and Widening MENA War Part II) whence any reprisal that is disproportionate to the initial attack is no more than an act of terrorism or, worse, a crime against humanity. According to MiddleEast Eye: Israel's claim of 'self-defence' has zero legal legitimacy.
With the extension of the MENA conflict where Lebanon is burning, and the media is complicit in the crimes of Israel (Jonathan Cook), and the recalcitrant Netanyahu denying emerging reports about negotiations on a truce with Hezbollah, but instead ordered the army to act at full strength. Further, the US Secretary of State Blinken having lied to Congress about Israeli war crimes because he knew that he would get away with it, the inevitable extension of war and the accompanied genocide needs to be not that "They want to eradicate the people not Hamas"- Lebanese journalist, Ghadi Francis @ghadifrancis on why the resistenace will never end; refer to episode 6 of Global Majority for Peace, and to catch the full interview on Youtube.com/@empirewatch.
Thus, the events as reported in Mondoweiss on June 25, 2024 by James North three months before present situational events have only fully displayed U.S. military, financial, and diplomatic support for Zionist Israel (monthly review 1/05/2024).
The events in the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah are summarised here - almost an exact replay of the last provocative escalation — the April 1 aerial assassination in Damascus of a high-ranking Iranian general, which then prompted Iran’s telegraphed missile barrage against Israel.
The graphic details in the assassination of Nasrallah were posted in realclearpolitics which published the wsj report HERE.
As reported by NBC News:
Hezbollah has confirmed that its powerful leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli strike yesterday in a dramatic blow to the Iran-linked Lebanese militant and political group.
The Israeli military has continued intensive strikes across Lebanon today, including pre-dawn strikes in Beirut, issuing evacuation orders for neighborhoods in the city's southern suburbs.
The attack targeting Nasrallah killed at least 11 people and injured 108, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. The damage is extensive and the official death toll is likely to rise.
Iran, Hezbollah's ally, has condemned the strike as a "blatant war crime" crossing its red lines and called for plans to send troops to Lebanon.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returned early from U.N. General Assembly after Netanyahu delivered a hawkish speech defending Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon while rallying opposition to Iran.
The U.S. said it had no prior knowledge of Israel's strike and sought to prevent further escalation, with Secretary of State Antony Blinken urging Israel to accept a 21-day cease-fire proposal from the U.S., E.U. and Arab countries, which Netanyahu has so far and not too infrequently rejected.
However, at the center of current conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa is another geopolitical dimension along the staring contest between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei whence the former seems to have calculated that, even if Israel moves ferociously against the Axis of Resistance — Khamenei won’t do much in response: thus, calling Iran’s bluff,(Arash Azizi).
On the other hand, Israel might not have defeated Hezbollah after killing some of its leaders by a long shot because considering that more than 90% of its personnel and resources have remained intact (59-minute video).
Israel now has to confront the reality that it is fighting a war in all 7 fronts, (Kyle Anzalone in antiwar.com).
EPILOGUE
Israel’s killing of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan (whose body was removed on Day 359 from the site of an Israeli airstrike) had driven home how Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has set the agenda in the Middle East in recent months, with a frustrated Washington unable to reshape its MENA foreign policy to defuse a spreading conflict in the region.
However, in furtherance to consolidate US hegemony in MENA, odious foreign policy elites are already rallying around POTUS-candidate Harris, (responsible statecraft and mr op. cit.).
The Israeli unrestrained rampage in Lebanon only underlines the diplomatic, political, and military protection and tacit approval of the United States hegemon to open the already fragile, impoverished and dysfunctional MENA states into an all-out intra-regional war, (islamic renaissance front).
