PAKATAN HARAPAN - PH

PH does not need to be more pro-Malay to get Malay support.

Why?

1. PH needs to be aware and realistic. No matter how hard PH tries to be more Malay, it will fail to overcome PAS, UMNO and BERSATU which are naturally Malay Parties.

2. PH needs to focus on all races, Malays and non-Malays, Bumiputera and non-Bumiputera not only in the Peninsula but also in Sabah and Sarawak.

3. PH must be an inclusive, not exclusive coalition of Parties. This is the advantage of PH which includes all Muslims or non-Muslims; Malays or non-Malays; Bumiputera or non-Bumiputera throughout the country, Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak.

4. Instead of trying to be pro-Malay, it is more meaningful for PH to focus on building a united, fair and democratic Malaysian nation.

5. PH should not be a political opportunist. That is not the face of PH. PH is a reform Party that promises hope. Can PH give hope if PH only focuses on being pro-Malay?

6. PH must implement fairly and transparently all matters of the affirmative action agenda to help the Malays and Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak as stated under Article 153 of the Constitution. At the same time, the non-Malay and non-Bumiputera groups who are poor, backward, left behind and neglected all this time must be equally defended.

7. If PH, which is currently in the Federal government, can implement the affirmative action agenda for all the weak, backward and poor people, then PH is seen as a fair, responsible political party coalition for adopting a non-racial middle-of-the-road political approach.

8. PH in Malaysia now needs to focus on strengthening its basic support base with policies and the implementation of an economic system that promises fair distribution, with the implementation of reasonable salaries on the right track towards achieving the ambition of making Malaysia a developed country with its people earning high incomes.

9. PH must focus on an economic agenda that guarantees a reasonable cost of living and does not burden the people.

10. If this can be achieved while the PH government is seen to be serious about managing the government with good governance, fighting corruption, reducing and ultimately eliminating leakages in the national budget; coupled with solving the people’s housing problems and improving the achievements of the national education system, then believe me, the people of all races, whether Malay or non-Malay; voters on the fence; people in the B40, M40 and T20 classes will support PH who takes a pragmatic and realistic middle path.
