Gross domestic product on Research and Development (GERD) in Malaysia is only 1%. There's a need to raise it above 3.5% by 2030 if the country aspires to be heading competitiveness in a globalisation sphere.
The country has to be adopting total factor productivity as its main force in the applications of science and technology in economic development. The ensuing economic growth shall attain economic progress with distributional wealth-sharing.
