The study by UNICEF and UNFPA on Malaysia is a continuation of the Families on the Edge (FOE) project. During the COVID-19 pandemic, UNICEF and UNFPA conducted a four-phase mixed methods longitudinal study undertaken during various periods of the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic to measure the impact of the pandemic on women and children in low-income families in Kuala Lumpur.
This study focuses on a survey undertaken post-pandemic, conducted from October 14, 2023, to November 16, 2023, with data collected from a total of 755 low-income households living in sixteen low-cost public housing in Kuala Lumpur.
